Nose Work classes do not progress as other traditional dog training classes do. Students that start together in the Introductory class will move forward together as a group. The Intro to Nose Work class automatically becomes Intro to Odor and so on as the dogs' skills improve. New students are not added to existing classes unless given permission to do so by the instructor. If no new classes are forming, interested parties will be added to a waiting list and will be informed once an Intro to Nose Work class is forming.

Each session consists of 6, 90-minute classes, and the cost for each session is $150. Owners registering multiple dogs will be given a discounted rate of $125 per dog, per session. Class size is currently limited to six dogs.

Dogs must be crate-trained or be able to be confined during class. Dogs may stay in a well-ventilated vehicle if weather permits. Owners must show proof of current vaccinations or titer test results.

Classes:

Introduction To Nose Work

Dogs have an amazing sense of smell and a natural desire to hunt. This class focuses on teaching you how to encourage and develop your dog's natural scenting abilities by using their desire to hunt and their love of toys, food and exercise. It's a great class for your dog to have fun, build confidence, and burn lots of mental and physical energy and to find out just how good your dog's nose is.

The following Intro to Nose Work classes will run every other week except where longer breaks occur due to holidays or other instructor schedule conflicts.

Class Days/Times
Sundays 1:00pm - 2:30pm Starting January 15th, 2012
